Army & Navy Tablets are black hard boiled sweets that have a liquorice and herb flavour – a real winter flavour.

The British Army began to introduce sweets into the rations of their solider’s as a high energy food during World War 1. We don’t know whether these tablets were specifically included but the name of this sweet was inspired by the tradition of sweets being in military rations.
